Description
Flamenco began with song. Flamenco songs gain their meaning from how the cantaor shapes them through improvisation; hence there is no set music. The guitarist’s accompaniment must follow where the singer leads.
The song often sounds like an angry chant; it expresses a sense of hurt, of emotion. Much like American Blues, flamenco is based on a lifestyle of poverty and oppression. This gentleman was a member of the audience and a friend of the trio performing. They invited him to join them. Their impromptu performance was probably as close to authentic flamenco as you can see in Spain today.
Each print is sized to fit the paper size; the image area varies based on the original dimensions of the art. It is printed on thick matte paper using a multicolor, water-based inkjet printing technique that yields brilliant prints.
