Versailles Gardens – The gardens have more than 400 statues, making them the largest open-air sculpture museum in the world! Louis XIV began the vast project, the Palace of Versailles in 1661, creating the gardens in tandem with the palace. The garden is filled with many fountains and sculptures that line the pathways. Many of the statues portray numerous characters from Greco-Roman mythology. I love running into winged cupids throughout.
