I live in a wonderful city, Raleigh, NC, in a thriving metropolitan area know as the Triangle. I love to travel and photograph everything around me, I take 1000s of photos in a 10 day trip. It hit me one day, this is a fascinating area and people come here for vacation, so there must be a lot of vacation photographs right here!
I began taking my summer camp students to various areas of the community and we explored. We found plenty of interesting sites and have learned a lot about where we live.
One of our favorite shooting locations is the NC Museum of Art. We hike the trail and see various sculpture, visit the cloud chamber to see how a camera works, and sometimes go out on the pedestrian bridge and wave to people on the beltline! Inside the museum is saved for the end of the visit, there’s air-conditioning! I’ve been surprised at how much this age group likes to look at and study art!
